There is an easy way for chapters to save time during the meeting and reduce confusion during the Business Card section of the meeting. When you prepare your Visitor Kits, make sure that you include a business card for each active member. This way, when the card box goes around the table, visitors will not be distracted, looking for a specific card- they will already have the information they need and can focus on the member commercials.
Visitors usually appreciate getting information prior to the meeting. Either give them the Visitor Pack when they check in or have one of your "Floaters" provide them with the package and the explanation of the contents as they escort them into the meeting.

Welcome Aboard!
Say there, everyone. The one thing that I have learned is that this entire networking thing can be explained in one simple word- COMMUNICATION.
So let's do each other a favor and communicate with each other about what is working and what is not. How we were able to extend that certain something to a potential member that was unique and allowed your visitor, sub or chapter member feel that much better about rolling out of bed and coming to a meeting.
Now of course, the site will be monitored by yours truly, so lets keep things positive and in the spirit of being a better Visitor Host. Any suggestions for the blog will be greatly appreciated and, when time allows, I will be making a few enhancements here and there. But folks, this is for all of us to use, learn from and help each other out with. Have Fun!
Sincerely,
Tom Lacalamita
